The Whale watching tours are run daily during the season from November – April each year from Mirissa Fisheries Harbour. During the season the strike rate of watching Blue Whales/or Sperm Whales is over 95% making Mirissa one of the world’s top whale watching hot spots. Blue Whales are seen almost every day on about 90 % of the outings. Pods of Spinner Dolphins, which can number in the hundreds are also seen on most mornings.

Day 09 Departure transfer (45 minutes drive)
Day 01,Arrive Colombo/Mirissa (3.5 hrs)
Upon arrival in Colombo, meet and assist and then drive to Mirissa. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. P.M. Take a walk along the Dutch built Galle Fort (UNESCO World Heritage site. O/N in Paradise Beach Club.
Day 02/07 ,Mirissa
Morning, head to Mirissa Fishery’s Harbour and start your journey to the sea to photograph Blue Whales. Blue Whales in concentrations not seen elsewhere in the world would be the highlight of the day. A concentration of Blue Whales of this nature is something which whale watchers can only dream about. During the migration, Blue Whales are seen relatively close to shore as the continental shelf is narrow to the South of Dondra.
Day 08, Mirissa/Colombo (3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Colombo. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. P.M. Free at leisure. O/N in Taj Samudra Hotel.
Day 09 ,Departure transfer (45 minutes drive)
Final transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey.
